And the stories they tell:
We left Webb City, MO and headed for Blue Springs, MO on March 23. We really enjoyed our seeing our friends again, the McCords. Aaron and William (the eldest McCord child) are great friends and were so excited to get to see each other for two whole days!
The McCords took us to see a color guard competition. It was a really neat thing to see, and I was having a great time until I had to ask someone to get Anna’s shoe in front of the whole auditorium! She dropped it from the top row of bleachers to the lower rows, which had been closed up for the performances. Silly girl!
We spent some time at a park on Saturday, where the kids had fun hanging out. I got some good pictures of them there. On Sunday we got to share at the McCord’s church. Such a warm and welcoming congregation. We really enjoyed our time there, and were sad to leave.
We headed west next. We drove a total of 26 hours over the course of 3 days, and the kids did pretty well, all things considered!
On the second day of driving, as we headed towards Utah, we pulled off the interstate for some food and gas. We were elated to look up and see my cousin filling up too! He was on his way from the east side of Wyoming to Las Vegas, NV for his new job. How cool is that? God is so awesome. In a couple of weeks, we were going to visit his family in Casper, WY on our way home, but we knew his job was going to prevent us from seeing him. God arranged for us to see him anyway. So cool!
I know I am way behind on the #mondayfunday, but I figured I better break it down into sections, otherwise, this post would be a mile long!
