Yesterday was the appointed day for April’s Son Day. This tradition began when Asher and I were driving one day, and Abi was due to fly back to America, and Asher was quite sad he did not get to go with her. He spoke of sneaking into her luggage, and stowing away in her things on the plane. ✈️

We then struck a “deal” and instituted a new day, Son Day (which he loved because it sounded like Sunday), in which Asher and I would spend time together doing something special, once a month. In order to insure its existence into the future, we set up rules. The day would be on the first day of the month, unless it was unable to be so, and then it would be the next available Saturday. (Often what ends up happening, however, is he reminds me daily of it being a new month, until we can finally break away from the hustle of our daily life, and do something together.)

And so it was, that yesterday marked the 12th Son Day, and Asher chose “games for school”. (This means instead of any school, we play games, just him and I.) And that brings us to the following videos which I was inspired to record because of the difficulty I was having in ending a game of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. If you are unfamiliar with the game, and would like to learn more about it, here is a video about how it is played.

Below are several videos that were recorded. I’ve put them in order, in case you are interested in how the game ended. The Narwhal card is particularly difficult for me. I think it could be scientifically proven that my arms being longer than Asher’s put me at a distinct disadvantage, but I am no scientist. 🧑‍🔬 😂

First video (a bit long, nearly 4 minutes):

Second video (only 18 seconds)

Third video (almost 2 minutes)

Fourth and final video (about a minute)

I finally won! It took 3 reviews of the footage in order to secure my victory! Haha! 😂
