We started school 3 weeks ago. We are still trying to get into a good rhythm. I was delayed in posting about the end of our summer due to the amount of work it took me to prepare for school. However, I am very excited to be able to finally post lots of pictures of what the final days of summer were like for us.
Asher got a little wild with some face paintThere was a small fire that looked like it might get out of control, but Aaron was there to save the day. Pictured here is Daniel, the maintenance team leader, making sure the fire is out for good.Kids had fun making a temporary fortCamp Andrew was a hit! (Even if Andrew was a little exhausted by the end of the week.)Aaron enjoyed helping Daniel, in Manu houseJosh and I celebrated our 19th wedding AnniversaryI attended a “Young” Women’s Overnight RetreatSome of the ladies pictured here, studying the passage in EstherWelcomed 2 families back to SITAGAaron got his learners-permit, and started to practice drivingAaron has had lots of practice this past summer!Early Mango Season started, and lots of manjo jam was madeMy friend Joyce, taught me to make Curry Puffs! We started Small Group again. It was so nice to fellowship together again!Josh loves to “story” with his Solo Daddy, at small groupWe all got to help prepare a big feast (Motu- earth oven cooking), the boys had to wake up at 4:30 am to get the coconuts scratched.Abigail also got up at 4:30, and started to “grate” the cassava for the cassava puddingThey put things together out in the “leaf house”. Alice showed us how to do it.
Not pictured are Abigail’s camp she did for the kids, and tons of chores, cooking, and other tasks that the kids had to do because I was holed up in the ERC planning school.
I think it is safe to say that the summer was full of fun shenanigans, Goshert Style for sure!
